The rendering of this figure shows Michael Phelps swimming in the water from under the pool because we are below him. Thus, you can see how he looks in a much better because the view from above the water only shows his back side. The nice thing about this kind of view is because all of the waves and splashing are gone. You can see everything because there are no obstruction. Since he is wearing long pants, he is just doing regular training because these would slow him down in any competitive race.

Characteristics of this figure drawing are the color inks because they add a new dimension to the rendering. When I use color inks I try and make them integrate into the fabric of the drawing because, like a Persian rug it weaves color. I have used both blue and green inks to make this figure drawing because it is colorful.

The most striking thing about this drawing are his arms because they are moving. Because he is so close to the lens of the camera it has greatly distorted the image of his body. His arms look gigantic because they make his legs look small. This makes it look that I drew it incorrectly, because I examined all the details carefully, and this is the correct set of proports of his body from that lens.
