Cityscape
This view of the Philadelphia skyline is from the banks of the Schuylkill River because you can see FDR Park. This is one of my favorite drawings of the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, because it shows the robust downtown district from the vantage point of the Schuylkill River. The delineation of the skyscrapers makes this cityscape a delight to look at because they are delineated well.
The color of the ink is a mild brown with a bit of read because they offer warm tones. Color inks add interest to the rendering because it puts the perspective in a new dimension. The skyscraper dominates the center of the cityscape because of their height and stature.
Philadelphia
The flowing water and shady trees make for a wonderful foreground because they show a grand image of downtown Philadelphia. The ink that I have used was an off-colored red/brown because they nicely bring out the contour lines of the cityscape. The landscape from FDR Park is an important element to have in any cityscape, because it adds grace, and beauty. Landscaping along with rivers and lakes always enhance the composition because they offer nature.
