This pen & ink drawing of Lower Manhattan is intended to interpret the lines as an art form rather than a CAD architectural rendering. Not that renderings have nothing to offer us, for over my career I have done many of them. However, the task of the rendering is to depict as closely as possible what future structure or site will look like so that bankers and city planners can approve the funding and permits. The focus here is Fine Art and interpreting the architectural images in those terms. Notice the loose graceful lines that delineate the skyscrapers and then flow into wonderful contour lines for shade and shadow. Manhattan Island is a borough of New York City, New York.
