Description
Tucson skyline #27A pencil cityscape drawing is popular because of views of the valley, mountains, and the print is matted 11″x14″.
Tucson skyline #27A, is a pencil cityscape drawing, by artist Stephen Condren, BFA, SAIC, of Condren Galleries. This is a pencil rendering of the cityscape of Tucson, Arizona. The pencil line work give a soft feeling to the blending of the mountains with the city. Mountains are a key feature of the landscape of Tucson and make this a gracious city to live in and visit. Pencil prints of this work of art come matted 11″ x 14″.
The line weights of the pencil range from HB through 6B leads. This is because I have used different ling weights for darker and lighter places. Also, I like a soft lead to use for contour line to bring out the subject of the drawing. Pen, unlike pen & ink is more graduated by nature. With pen & ink you are dealing with high contrast lines that make tones though hatching, and cross-hatching. However, with pencil you have this plus the fact that you can push on the pencil to get darker tones. If you push on a pen you will break it.
