Celebrity

This celebrity rendering is of the famous German super model Janis Danner. He is in his 20’s and looks great because he is a beautiful male. This is a close up portrait of Janis with no shirt on because no shirt is seen. His beard is new so the hairs to not show well. I have used a 6B lead pencil to delineate the chin hair. I did not want to confuse the hair on his face with contour. He has a lovely gentle fact that needs to be treated delicately. His eye are brown and compliment his beautiful face.

The celebrity drawing of Janis Danner is done as a test of the Strathmore drawing paper. I have been using other papers but they do not scan well. The Strathmore paper has proven to be the best paper for doing drawings and reproducing them.

Drawing Characteristics

Characteristics of this celebrity drawing is the use of the 6B lead for shading. I was careful to use this pencil on his eyes because eyes generally need a fine point to show the details. However, this photo was a bit on the dark side so I needed some extra dark tones to bring out the eyes. Hatched lines were used to enhance the shading of the face and under his chin. He has a light beard that is merely drone with hatch lines.
