This celebrity rendering is of Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is done in multi-color inks. The drawing is first done in pencil because I use this as my guide for the ink. I have used five different color inks for the drawing because that offers variation of tones on this celebrity sketch. Archie is sitting in the lap of his mother Meghan Markle. The different colors are forming a pattern around the baby because this keeps the colors from becoming localized. Good color does not keep the grass green.  A blue sky keeps is local coloring because this fragments the drawing. Colors need to be distributed throughout the drawing equally.

There are many lines in the drawing because I have used 5 colors. The drawing is best made with the fewest lines. It is important to grasp as much of the image with the fewest lines. Hatching is an excellent way to shade because it offers light. Pen & ink are working around the image. The hands of Meghan Markle are holding the baby.
