Seattle Skyline #879A, pen & ink cityscape drawing, also in pencil and watercolor, is a critical treatise because this is a work of Fine Art.
The “Seattle Skyline #879A” is a refined work of art because it shows high contrasting tones. This “Seattle Skyline #879A” is a strong work of art because the contour lines show the outline while the hatched lines show the shading. The post to this rendering is “879.”

Key elements of this work of art are as follows: Seattle Skyline #879A
Space Needle
Seattle Skyline Watercolor Painting at Sunset for Sale ~ 879. This view of the Seattle, Washington, skyline is done at dusk when the last rays of the sun are shining. We are in Elliott Bay looking eastward and you can see pier post standing in the bay. This section of the city is just south of the Space Needle and shows more of the newer buildings in the downtown. I wanted to do a view that did not include the Space Needle simply because it commands too much attention to itself to the sacrifice of the skyline.
Water reflection
I have deliberately chosen not to show the reflection of the pier posts because in doing a study of this it made the piers look too long because the pen lines appear to stop halfway down and thus you have large dark objects in the water. The pen a line of water ripples adequately conveys the water surface.
The color of the ink is sepia, and it works well with this time of day as you have similar tones in the color of the sky.
