Key elements of this work of art are as follows: Seattle Skyline #878A
Elliott Bay
Seattle skyline pen & ink line drawing reflecting in Elliott Bay. Harbors, unlike airports that are sterile, are places teaming with life and activity, which is certainly the case here. This view from Elliott Bay shows a nice close-up of the downtown and oldest part of the center city. There is no view of the Space Needle in the perspective, which so dominates the Seattle skyline. The nice thing about this view is the attention to detail given the tall buildings in relation to the smaller one. I have often found it wise to keep the larger structures just a little bit less detailed than the smaller one in any drawing because they become to dominate for the composition.
