Key elements of this work of art are as follows: Palace Fine Arts #933A
Beaux Arts
Palace Of Fine Arts pen & ink line drawing is Fine Art because it is done with cross hatching. This structure is a classic because it is one of the most beautiful buildings in San Francisco, California. The Palace of Fine Arts is a testament to the grace and beauty of the great city. This is in the classic Beaux Arts style, and I have to say that the proportions on this structure, especially because the grand Rotunda is outstanding. There is elegance and grace in every element of this wonderful structure because it is Classical.
The drawing is done with a single fine point pen and black ink because it has a lot of details. When I first set out to do this drawing I was going to reverse the light and have it coming from the east rather than setting in the west as it is in the drawing. I decided to make use of the shadows and small amounts of brighter light for accenting the tone of the drawing.
