Celebrity
This celebrity rendering is of the famous British actor Christopher Lee. Well known to many as Count Dracula, he was as a great war hero. He was an officer in the British Navy and did much to stop the advances of Adolph Hitler.
Janis Danner 321A
The celebrity drawing of Christopher Lee is a black pen & ink rendering. He is looking straight at you with his eye almost looking through you. When I look as the drawing I can only see the eyes of Count Dracula casting a spell on me! All humor aside, this pen & ink drawing is a nice rendering of a great man.
Drawing Characteristics
Characteristics of this celebrity drawing are the contour lines. Most of the drawing his done with hatched lines because they bring out the depth of field. The contour lines are best for putting the form together in a package. Contour lines are often used to make a silhouette to give a basic view of the image. They are best at summing up an image because they go all around the figure. The best way to work with contour lines is to integrate them into the shade and shadows of the drawing. If you do not integrate the contour lines into the drawing the image becomes flat.
