Description
Chicago skyline 278A pen & ink cityscape drawing of downtown skyscrapers overlooking Lake Michigan by Stephen Condren.
Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is a pen & ink drawing of Chicago overlooking Monroe Harbor. A fine point tip was used to drawing this rendering because it offers greater detail. The tallest building in the cityscape is Willis Tower on the left because it has 108 floors. Trump Tower is the second tallest building in the drawing because it has 98 floors. The St. Regis on the right side of the drawing is the third tallest building in Chicago. This perspective of Chicago is the most popular because it shows the tall buildings in the Loop. The loop is the second largest cluster of skyscrapers in the country.
Chicago Skyline 278A
The cityscape drawing is done with black pen & ink on Strathmore paper. Hatched lines were used because they make the shade and shadows of the cityscape. The base of the rendering are the waters of Lake Michigan. Grant Park offer the large cluster of trees at the base of the towering skyscrapers in this cityscape rendering.
