Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is a multi-color skyline of Chicago at sunset overlooking Lake Michigan. The colors of the sunset sky range from bright yellow to deep red in this cityscape rendering. There was no black ink used in this cityscape because it would darken the tones. The black lines are too strong for the or ink colors because black dominates. Hatched lines were used extensively in the sky but not at all in the water. The water was done with sinuous lines to show the flow of water.
The skyscrapers are reflected in the waters of Monroe Harbor just below the landscaping. Trees from Grant Park make a border between the shoreline of Chicago and Lake Michigan. All of the skyscrapers were done in free-hand and are vertical. Vertical lines compliment the height of building because they are tall.

Skyscrapers.
The tallest building in the cityscape is Willis Tower with 108 floors. Trump Tower is the second tallest building in Chicago with 98 floors. The Aon Center, in the center of the cityscape, has 80 floors and is the fourth tallest building in Chicago. The St. Regis, which is on the far right side in this cityscape rendering, is the third tallest building in Chicago. The Loop is in the center of the rendering and is the main business district of Chicago. It is in the Loop that you have the tallest buildings in Chicago. East Randolph Street also has several very tall buildings such at the Aon Center, and Two Prudential Plaza. The former John Hancock Center, which has 100 floors, is on the near north side in Streeterville.
