Cityscape

This cityscape rendering is a multi-color skyline of Chicago at sunset. The view is from Lake Michigan overlooking Monroe Harbor to the west. Light colors inks were used to make this cityscape rendering because of the sunset tones. Blue was the only dark ink color used in the cityscape at the top right corner. The top right corner of the cityscape is the darkness of the night coming in.

Hatched lines were extensively used in drawing the sky. The lines around the sun form an arch that encloses a circle around the sun. The arches form clusters of rays that expand outward to the sky. Yellow is the strongest color in the cityscape and it shows the sun. The sun is located on the left side of the cityscape behind Willis Tower.

Chicago Skyline 302A

The cityscape drawing shows the reflection of the office buildings in the waters of Lake Michigan. The tallest building in the cityscape is Willis Tower because it has 108 floors. The second tallest building shown in the skyline is Trump Tower because it has 98 floors.

Vertical lines of the skyscrapers are parallel.
