Cityscape

This cityscape rendering is a multi-color skyline of downtown Chicago overlooking Monroe Harbor in Lake Michigan. Hatched lines were used all throughout the cityscape to bring the colors together. There are four colors used in the cityscape, red, yellow, blue, and brown. Yellow is used for the light of the setting sun that is just behind Willis Tower. To the right of the yellow the brown tones come in to the cityscape. The brown then moves into the red and finally to the blue. Blue is used for the darkness of the night sky in the cityscape.

Willis Tower is the tallest building in the cityscape because it has 108 floors. Trump Tower has 98 floor making it the second tallest building in Chicago. The Aon Center one East Randolph Street is the third tallest building in the rendering because it has 80 floors. The St. Regis which has 101 floors is taller than the Aon Center but it is not is this cityscape drawing because it is too far to the east.

This is a free-hand drawing because it is a work of Fine Art, and not a commercial rendering.

Chicago Skyline 301A

The cityscape drawing shows the reflection of the skyscrapers in the water. I have made the reflections loose and free so that they do not look solid like the skyscrapers just above.
