Male Figure Drawing

Manly Physique Sketch

This fair young man is posed sitting up in an elongated manner, because he is displaying his physique. His genitals have not been exposed, because they have no structure. This young man’s body is all about structure, and architecture, because that is the rule of Nature.

Pencil Rendering For

In the rendering I have chosen to use a very soft charcoal pencil, because I wanted the look of the granulated lines. Charcoal pencil is very dark, and course, because it is a clinker material.

Male Figure Pen & Ink Drawing

Manly Physique Sketch

This handsome young man is posed in a vigorous manner, because he is bending over to wrestle with you. He has an eager look on his face, because he wants to win the match. You can see that he is looking right at you, and not going to let you get away, because you are his buddy. This scene is all done with good humor in mind, because there is nothing better than good friends.

Male Figure Pen & Ink Drawing #313Z

The image in the drawing is done with both contour lines, and hatched lines, because I use these to capture the architecture of his body. Emphasis has been place on his pectorals, because they are the most architecturally significant element of his physique. I have placed little detailing on his hands because they are moving, because moving objects are a bit blurry.

Male Figure Pen & Ink Drawing

Manly Physique Sketch

This most excellent torso of a young man is very finely detailed, because of the numerous hatching, and cross-hatching lines. I have worked his entire torso with this fine hatch line work, because I wanted the shade, and shadows to bring out his physique. I have given a bold contour line to his body, because I want to pull his form together. Too many hatch lines can cause confusion, because they are small, and not continuous.

Male Figure Pen & Ink Drawing #324Z

The young man is looking up and away from the viewer, because it gives distance to his posture. He is very muscular, and displays his male beauty handsomely. The sun is shining on him from the left, giving us a brighter amount of light on his right side, because his left side is in shadow.

Sea Of Gibber

Lake Of Lies

The fight against fraud, and lies has been a campaign of my life, because I will not have anything to do with swindlers. Cheats, liars, and felons come in every shape, color, race, and religion, because I have witnessed them all. You would think that at the country club that you would be safe from swindlers, because these are the “right people”, and safe. Then enters Bernie Madoff to the Palm Beach Country Club with his lies, because he cheated good, and honest people out of millions of dollars.

Pencil Rendering For The Sea Of Gibber

Above is my pencil drawing of a house sinking on the sandy shores of the Sea of Gibber, because it is giving the image of the results of liars. When you listen to Theologians, Politicians, and Academicians, be careful, because most of them have an agenda to push, and at your expense.

The best, and smartest thing to do to avoid trouble from these swindlers is to demand from them the facts that support their claims, because then they will wither away like the Wicked Witch of the West with a bucket of water upon trying to get around them.

Crown Of The King Pen & Ink Drawing

Stylus Sketch

The crown of the king stems from the Latin work Corona, because this was the headband of the ancient rulers. In the Greek we have the term Diadem, because is goes across the diameter of the head of the king. This title is not ever to be confused with the stephanos, which is the crown of victory, not of royal lineage. The stephanos is a garland wreath, like that worn by Julius Caesar, because of his great victories.

Pencil Drawing As Stylus Sketch

Below is my preliminary pencil sketch of the crown, because this is my guide for the pen & ink that is to follow. As you can see from the drawing it looks much the same, because my ink went right over the pencil. However, I do not trace over my sketch, because that would confine my creativity.

Legendary Status

Quasi-Divinity

This is a topic that has burned in my mind for decades, because it is important to address. No man is a god, or even close to it, because we are all mortals. Thus, when we encounter men that have achieved great things such as Einstein, Mozart, and Leonardo Da Vinci we have to pause, because we need to asses their works in the context of their times, and our times. Further, we have to asses how their works bare on our lives, because we are the recipients of their creativity.

I am not here to put down anyone, or his work, because I am here to critique, not to tear down. No man’s work is on such a high status that it has become “holy” or “sacrosanct”. However, that is what is going on all the time, because people do not know any better.

Frank Lloyd Wright

The architecture of Frank Lloyd Write is famous the world over, because he made bold new plans in his time. However, many of his building are quite ugly, and outdated. Yet, when you say this to any museum curator, or a professor of Architecture, you are looked at like you came from Mars. To even think that any house of Frank Lloyd Wright’s is ugly, or poorly executed makes you look bad, because these academicians want to elevate themselves at your expense.

Picasso

I do not like the works of Picasso, because his work is crude. That is my opinion, and I hold it, because I am a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. However, on one occasion I expressed this view to people of “culture” and “good breeding” and I was scolded! I was then told “As an artist you above all should have an appreciation of the works of a great artist like Picasso.” I followed up by telling the person that I thought so little of Picasso that I did not even waste any of my time by attending the exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago. They could not handle it.

Famous Vs. Great

I prefer to use the term famous artist rather than great, because there are a lot of poor, and sub-standard artists that are not great, but surely famous. All of the works of Vincent van Gogh are crude, and mediocre drafting’s. Yet, if you express this sentiment in public you are in trouble, because you are crossing a line. Vincent van Gogh was insane, and his works show it. There is no genius in any of his tawdry works of art, because they are banal.

Fine Art

Below is my drawing of a shirtless cowboy, which I will put before anything of Picasso, or Vincent van Gogh.

Bottom Line

I am not an advocate of “Culture by the yard”, and impressing people with things that look, and sound lofty, because many things by great artists are banal, and crude. My advice is to appreciate that which calls you. because you will be better off as a person. Legendary status #541Z of any work should be dropped, and looked at for what it is. No work of any man is legendary, because legends are based on fables.

Boy In Jail

Prison Lad

This wonderful image offers many things to the viewer, because of the high contrast imagery. The scene shows a boy just arrest, because he was caught in the act. Now that he has been apprehended, he must pay his price, because crime does not pay.

Pencil Drawing

I have started this wonderful drawing with a pencil sketch that is difficult to see, because of the high contrasting light. Further, the horizontal, and vertical lines give strength to the image, because it brings you into the scene.

The Assumption Of The Virgin By El Greco

Mythological Art

A painting that I have never liked, but needs to be addressed, because it is the greatest Old Masters work in the Art Institute of Chicago. Having graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, this painting holds a special place in my heart, because I have grown up with it.

Cupid Chastised

This painting is adjacent my favorite work of are in the Art Institute of Chicago, Bartolomeo Manfredi’s Cupid Chastised, because they are close in time period.

Elongation

The painting is of the post-Renaissance Period, or Mannerist, because they distort images. The painting is weak in that it is really two paintings in one. The upper section is the image of the Virgin being assumed, because she does not ever die. The lower section is of the astonished apostles, because they are beholding a miracle.

Half Moon

The image of the Virgin being lifted on a halfmoon is almost comical, as the Church Fathers, being inspired by God, should have known that the moon is round.

Colors

The tone is moribund even though there is full spectrum of color, because all the tones are imbued with gray.

The Clouds Received Him

Mythological Heavenly Hoasts

An important point that has never been addressed, to my knowledge, by any Theologian, or Scientist, is the matter of breathable oxygen in skies of Jesus era, because He was received into the clouds. In other words, the people of Bible Times, thought that there was an endless, and eternal breathable atmosphere up to the stars, to the moon, and to Heaven, even to the point of building a Tower of Babble to it, because of their limited knowledge of the solar system, and the earth’s biosphere.

Mindset Of Bible Times

The mindset of these time was crude, and severely limited, because they were uneducated. The Gospel writers felt at ease to tell the world that Jesus was received straight to the clouds, Acts, 1:9 , because He was assumed into Heaven. The Gospel writers, as willing swindlers, were ready to sell you their bogus bill of goods at your expense, because their agenda was control over you. If these frauds were truly “inspired” by God, then they surely would have known that the world was round, and that no organic living organism can survive outside of the earth’s protective shield, because you would be annihilated by comic rays, meteor showers, and radiation just for starters.

Upper Stratusphere

The people of these time actually thought that all of the heavens were filled with fresh air, because they repeatedly tell of Jesus, and the saints being taken up into the clouds. 1 Thessalonians 4:17, 1 Corinthians 15:52, telling us about heavenly spaces, because we would live up there. We are taught, as strict teaching of the Church, that Mary was assumed into Heaven, because she did not have to die. She was just lifted up into the air, therefore we have our physical bodies up in heaven. I am sorry, but I do not buy any of this, because it is un-Scientific rubbish, and totally bogus.

The Cards Don’t Stack Up

Just as in Archeological digs that demand the most exacting specifications for putting the pieces of the pot, or ancient site together, so too with the work of competent Theologians. Modern Science has clearly proved that there is no life in physical bodies outside of our atmosphere. Yet the Bible writers, supported by modern Theologians tell us otherwise. Current Revisionist, and Post-Structural Theologians, as “advanced thinkers” have come up with wonderful Academic jargon to weave a “rational” and “modern approach” to these “difficult” verses. Thus further swindling both themselves, and the public to join them for a swim in the Sea of Gibber.

Scientific Fact

All of this clearly points to the fact that the early Church did not know what they were talking about, because they were wrong. As we all now know, the earth is covered with a very thin layer of atmosphere, because this is a Scientific fact. In other words, Bible writers are getting away with the swindle of a completely fabricated tail about celestial beings living in the heavens, or clouds. More disturbing, is that Prelates of the Church to this very day endorse this wholesale line of rubbish, because we, as the faithful are expected to go along with it. I am sorry, but I do not go along with it, and further, because of this gross, and wholesale pack of lies I am not “One of the faithful”.

Sea Of Gibber

Do not listen to their lies, rather demand from them the facts, because then you will see them, with your own eyes, squirm like worms, crawling back into the sand on the shores of the Sea of Gibber.

Bottom Line

Because of the gross errors, or really lies, for the Bible writers were telling us something that they should have known to be true, because they were “inspired by God” to write as such. The whole thing is a hoax, and should be washed away, and put on the shelf with other famous tales of mythology from antiquity.

Groveling Before Satan

Freudian Psychosis

Being a gay man is a sin, and you will have to pay, because you are a sinner! Now you are in the clutches of Satan, because you thought he was a myth. Now you squirm at his feet begging for mercy, because deep inside you want Satan to take ownership of you!

Pencil Drawing

This complex Freudian theme is made manifest in my pencil drawing of a naked gay man groveling at the feet of Satan. Like the death wish (drive), this paranormal condition is shocking, and I have made manifest the shock with pulsating, rhythmic lines all around Satan, because it emanates his power.
