This celebrity rendering of is of Steven Spielberg reclining in the mouth of Jaws! This drawing was done from a famous photo of Steven during the production of Jaws. If you look carefully at the drawing, and the photo, you can see that his right arm is not on the other side of his head. This is because he was using his right arm to hold himself up on the model, securing his balance.

The celebrity drawing is done in multi-color pen & inks. A preliminary sketch was first done in pencil so as to provide me a guide for the pen & ink that follows. When you are applying the ink it is important to have a sketch to show you were exactly to put the ink. I do not detail too much with the pencil because it competes with the pen & ink.

Drawing Characteristics

Characteristics of this celebrity drawing are the colors that make of the image of the two figures. I did not want to put any red around the mouth of Jaws because it would immediately take away the comedy of the scene. This is after all, a great spoof on a great movie, by one of the greatest directors.
