Skyline Watercolor Painting
This watercolor of the Seattle, Washington, skyline gives a nice view of the wharf and private residences along Alaskan Way Viaduct. This angle is nice for it permits you to see behind some of the taller buildings. If you look closer it also lets you see the girth of these office towers as well.
This is my first time use of gray ink on a watercolor and I am pleased with the effects for the lighter tone permits greater freedom in drawing and shadowing. Whereas when I am using dark inks they become too commanding and almost make the image two dimensional.
