Celebrity

This celebrity rendering of Marlon Brando and James Dean kissing. The two men had a very long and heated BDSM relationship. Marlon Brando was the dominant partner in the relationship and James Dean wanted it that way. James Dean would ask Brando to burn him with his cigarette! There is a lot more to the tempestuous relationship that can be found online.

The celebrity drawing is done in fine point pen & ink because that lets me get the close-up details. The most difficult part of the drawing was the lips of the two men. Since the photo that I worked from was not the sharpest image I had to work with was was offered. There is enough to drawing what you see here, however, there is a bit too much shadowing in the photo that does not lend itself to pen & ink. I would have to hatch and cross hatch this area, which would of course ruin the drawing. This is a clean clear rendering that is not asking for intensive hatching of lines.

Drawing Characteristics

Characteristics of this celebrity drawing are the contour lines because I had limed shade and shadows in this drawing.
