Color Pencils
Los Angeles skyline color pencil drawing of downtown at sunset by skyline artist Stephen F. Condren, BFA-SAIC. This skyline drawing of Los Angeles, California, makes use of lead pencil for the initial layout and then is done in color pencils and finished with ink. I do the color penciling first so as to give body and texture to the drawing. If I were to ink it first, then it would become too tedious, and the work of the color pencils would be had to see. The sun is setting and reflecting the last minutes of the day in the shimmering waters of the lagoon below.
