Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is of downtown Chicago overlooking the Loop. The Loop is the central business district of Chicago, because it has the tallest skyscrapers. On the left side of the cityscape is Willis Tower and on the right is the Aon Center. Willis Tower is the tallest building in Chicago followed by Trump Tower, which is to the right of center. The Aon Center appears taller in this cityscape because it is closer to the front.

The cityscape drawing is a pen & ink drawing on paper. I have used a medium weight pen tip for the lines because this give solid form to the cityscape. Use of hatched lines was to a minimum because the cityscape is small. The cityscape is done as a study of contour lines because the skyscrapers are outlined in the drawing. This type of drawing brings out the best of the cityscape.
