Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is a pen & ink drawing of the Chicago skyline at dusk on the shores of Lake Michigan. No black lines were used to make the cityscape because it is all colors. Yellow is the light of the sun and orange is the supporting light of the sunset.
The waters of Lake Michigan are below the skyscrapers. A yellow glow lies behind all of the skyscrapers in this cityscape rendering. The reflection of the city show in Monroe Harbor. Blue is the dominant color on the right side because it show the tones of night sky.
Chicago Skyline 295A
The cityscape drawing shows Willis Tower on the left drawn in orange. Orange is the dominate color in the cityscape drawing because it is bright. Yellow is used to add brightness to the drawing. The tones of yellow are bright but do not offer delineation. This cityscape is done in free-hand because it is a work of art. Architectural renderings require rulers and straight edges for perfect lines. All of the skyscrapers are done with vertical lines in free-hand.
The tallest building in the cityscape is Willis Tower because it has 108 floors. Trump Tower is the second tallest building because it has 98 floors.
