Description
Chicago skyline 293A multi-color pen & ink cityscape drawing of downtown skyscrapers at sunset by Stephen Condren.
Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is a multi-colored pen & ink drawing of downtown Chicago. The view is from Lake Michigan overlooking Monroe Harbor. Willis Tower is the building on the left that hides the sun because this is at sunset. The right side of the cityscape drawing is in darker color inks. As you move to the right the night sky is darker. Red and blue are the dominant tones on the right side of the cityscape.
Chicago Skyline 293A
The cityscape drawing is uses many colors of ink because they compliment the color of the spectrum. Many colors have been woven together in the cityscape drawing to make the drawing active. Local colors in a drawing will ruin the tones. Keep all of the colors spread throughout the drawing because it will look better.
Willis Tower is the tallest building in the cityscape drawing because it has 108 floors. The St. Regis is the third tallest building in Chicago on the right side of the cityscape drawing. Trump Tower is the second tallest building in Chicago because it has 98 floors. The St. Regis has 101 floors is is located on East Wacker Drive. It does not look as tall as the Aon Center because it is set back in the cityscape drawing. The Aon Center is on East Randolph Street and is the fourth tallest building in Chicago because it has 80 floors.
