Cityscape
This is a watercolor of the Chicago, Illinois, skyline at sunset and is one of my favorites. I have worked ever so carefully on this painting to bring out all that is poetic in my art. For here I want to transcend mere imagery and move to a higher plane of though and aesthetics. When you look at the work of art you will immediately notice that the structures are not delineated, as is the case with previous watercolors that I have done of Chicago. Here just the very suggestions of the images of the building evoke the desired effect that I am looking for. When anyone looks at a skyline, particularly a sunset you will not be so aware of the colors or details of the structures.
Chicago Skyline #788A
This is a most popular view of the cityscape as it is overlooking Burnham Harbor.
