When I saw the photo and all of the high contrast I took immediate interest in the figure. However, I knew that I did not want to go overboard with hatched and cross-hatched lines. Because this kind of an image lends itself to going into infinite detail on hatching and that is not what I wanted to do. Rather, I wanted to use hatch lines in a way that did not go into excess. That is hard to accomplish on a drawing like this because of all the dark areas.
