Description
Chicago skyline 225A bamboo & ink cityscape contour line drawing with former John Hancock Center by Stephen Condren, BFA, SAIC.
Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is of Streeterville in Chicago. Lake Michigan is at the bottom of the drawing because Streeterville is on the lake. The sky is done with thin bamboo lines because I let the tip dry out. Sky lines have to be thin because of the air. Thick air lines would look heavy.
Chicago skyline 225A
The cityscape drawing is done with a bamboo stylus and ink. This cityscape rendering is done with thick contour lines because the bamboo stylus is too blunt. The line weight is thick because of the blunt bamboo tip. Thick lines offer excellent contour lines because they are thick. All of the lines in this cityscape drawing are thick because of the bamboo stylus.
