Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is from east Randolph Street in Chicago. East Randolph Street has some of the tallest buildings in Chicago because the giant skyscrapers. The focus of the cityscape is the bring out the strength of the towering skyscrapers. In this small four block stretch there are some of the tallest buildings in the world. Just behind east Randolph is Wacker Drive, which has the Vista Luxury Condominiums building. The Vista is the tallest building in the drawing, because it is over 1,000 feet tall.

The cityscape drawing is done with contour and hatched ink lines because they are clear. The cityscape is only four block long, but has a very high elevation because of the skyscrapers. This cityscape is about the design of the buildings because it has not shading. In cityscape rendering with shading there are fewer contour lines. Contour lines are used to carve out the total shape of an element in the picture plane.
