Celebrity

Tom Brady is both a celebrity as well as a great athlete, because he is the most successful quarterback of our era. His character and fame have motivated me to do this celebrity portrait. My first concern was to capture the accuracy of the celebrity pencil sketch that lies below it. It is often the case that the pen & ink over the pencil can take away from the celebrity rendering, because you need to harness the image. In this case I have succeeded. I was tempted to do just one post but I decided to do a separate post for the pencil rendering.

This celebrity portrait is a clear rendering of the athlete, because it is an accurate likeness. The thing that grabbed me immediately was the high contrast lighting, with is always a green light for me. This is because you can bring out the form with the play of light.
