Ocean

This view of the ocean is one of the most popular in Puerto Rice, because of the view of the old mission seawall. The bay offers a lovely serene view of the ocean coast and the waters are clean and clear. Since this is an island, the waters of the beach are shallow giving you the bright pastel colors of the ocean. In the background are a series of moutains that make a nice backdrop to the ocean view. In the center of the watercolor a some sail ships taking in the ocean breeze.

Puerto Rico 154A

The watercolor uses pen & ink to bring out the details. On the left side of the watercolor you can see the view of the turret that keeps guard of the ocean front port. In the past this was an area of the ocean infested with pirates and other strays looking for loot. A ship hoisting the Jolly Roger was not an uncommon site to see. The view of the ocean is most excellent here.
