Description
Michael Phelps standing shirtless showing muscular torso, pen & ink male figure drawing. Michael is not gay, to my knowledge, but this is a gay review of a drawing that I have done of him. He is popular because of his Olympics fame and fit body with chiseled torso, and the print is matted 11″x14″.
Michael Phelps pen & ink figure drawing by artist Stephen Condren, BFA, SAIC, of Condren Galleries.

Figure
This is a pen & ink drawing of Michael Phelps wearing jeans, and no shirt, because he is not swimming! Michael is known the world over for being the greatest swimmer in World History, because he has won 29 Gold Olympic Medals. I appreciate what Michael has done, because I swim a mile every day. My saying is: “I swim for life” because swimming is the best exercise for anyone. You have no impact on any of your joints, and you get a lot of air for your cardio system.
I have used contour lines to draw the figure of Michael because they show the outline of the figure. To capture the shade and shadows of the figure of Michael, I have used fine hatched and cross-hatched lines.
Michael Phelps Standing Shirtless
Below is the rendering of the preliminary pencil sketch that I have done as a study, because I use this as a guide. The lead that I use is an HB lead, because it a harder lead. After I apply the HB lead I follow up with the pen & ink drawing. The pen & ink is very strong, and completely dominates the drawing, because of the black India ink. His pants are the only clothing shown in the drawing because that accents his physique.
