Gymnast 418A
The rendering of the young man at the parallel bars is a simple line drawing. I used a fine point pen nib to make the drawing.
Drawing Characteristics

Characteristics of this figure drawing are the contour lines. I have done very little drawing of the boy and focused on the outer body. The photo that I worked with would not allow for any good detailing. When you are working with images that are far away you can only use contour lines. If the person were modeling right before me then I could draw all of his facial and body features. He is a slim boy that would not have a lot to offer as a model. Generally speaking old men make the best models because of all the lines in their face.
