Figure
This figure drawing is of a young male USA gymnast stretching over the parallel bars for the Olympics. You can see that he has aligned himself perfectly with bars from his sides, a perfect parallel.
Gymnast 433A
The rendering of the young man is done on white Strathmore drawing paper. I started the drawing with a light sketch using a 6B lead pencil. This is a nice soft lead that lets you see all of the line because it is a soft lead and therefor it is dark. It is important not to press down hard on the pencil or it will make a dark line that you cannot erase. Further, my practice is to never use an eraser.
