Mythology
This Mythology rendering of Cyclopes is done with Multi-color pen & ink drawing. I have chosen to have the Cyclopes come at you from out of the dark because he is a scary monster! I used black ink for the background and the lighter colors for the skin.
Cyclopes 374A
The Mythology drawing is done in fine point pen nib with a medium pen nib for the contour lines. Hatched lines are used extensively throughout this Mythology drawing and give good areas for shade and shadows.
Drawing Characteristics
Characteristics of this Mythology drawing are the mixing of the black ink with the color inks. This is a very difficult thing to do because color is adding a new dimension to the drawing. If I were to do the drawing in just one color it would be easy to graduate the shading by making the hatch lines closer together. However, you cannot just hatch line your way into color inks because they will clash in this Mythology sketch. Therefore, you have to use dark color as you get closer to the black hatch lines so they integrate together harmoniously. Mythology makes for wonderful things to draw.
