Chicago skyline 284A red, brown, black pen & ink cityscape drawing of downtown skyscrapers at sunset by Stephen Condren.
Cityscape Art
This cityscape rendering is a pen & ink of downtown Chicago on Lake Michigan at sunset. Red, brown, and black inks are used to create this wonderful cityscape rendering. The sun is setting just behind Willis Tower so the red ink is strongest at that point. As you move to the right the red dissipates into brown to show the transition away from the sun. On the far right the ink is black to show the night sky coming in away from the sun light.
Chicago Skyline 284A
The cityscape drawing makes the view over Monroe Harbor look glories because of the colors from the sunset. Monroe Harbor has picked up the colors from the sky and reflects them into the water because the rays of the sun are strong. At the center of the drawing is the famous Chicago Loop, known for it’s towering skyscrapers. Willis Tower stands like a giant holding the rays of the setting sun because the building tall.
