Description
Chicago skyline 277A pen & ink cityscape drawing of downtown skyscrapers by Stephen Condren.
Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is a pen & ink drawing of downtown Chicago from Monroe Harbor. The Monroe Harbor view of downtown Chicago is the most famous cityscape because it is the front door of the city. Trees and bushes are just above the water in Grant Park because this is a public space. The clouds in this cityscape are stratus nimbus because they offer no fullness. It is noon and there are not shadows because the rays of light are directly above. The tallest building in the drawing is Willis Tower because is has 108 floors.
Chicago Skyline 277A
The cityscape drawing is done with freehand lines because it is a work of Fine Art. This cityscape is not an architectural rendering because it is not meant for commercial presentation. The line work is very good because this cityscape has many famous buildings. Each major building in the skyline can be identified because they are rendered so well.
