Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is a multi-color pen & ink drawing of downtown Chicago at sunset. The sun is setting in the west behind Willis Tower on the far left of the cityscape drawing. Yellow is the dominant tone behind Willis Tower because it is blocking the sun. As you move to the right of this cityscape drawing the color get darker because they show the night sky. Blue is the darkest color used in the cityscape drawing. The top right corner of the drawing is the darkest because of the night sky. Red is the next color that emanates from the sun because it is a warmer tone.
Chicago Skyline 299A
The cityscape drawing shows seen from Monroe Harbor on Lake Michigan. A reflection of the skyline can be seen in the waters of Lake Michigan.
The waves of water are done with flowing lines because of the water. Hatched and cross-hatched lines were used extensively in the sky because the form the clouds. The St. Regis is the third tallest building in Chicago because it has 101 floors. Trump Tower is the second tallest building in this cityscape because it has 98 floors. Willis Tower is the tallest building in Chicago because it has 108 floors. The Aon Center only has 80 floors but is the fourth tallest building in Chicago.
