Cityscape
This cityscape rendering is of the near north side of Chicago in the Streeterville neighborhood. Streeterville is bordered by Lake Michigan on the east and Michigan Avenue on the west. This area has the second largest cluster of skyscrapers in Chicago because the former John Hancock Center is located there.

The cityscape drawing is done with pen & ink on paper because this best delineates architectural drawings. There is a minimal use of lines in the cityscape rendering. The focus of the drawing it cluster of skyscrapers because they are so tall. This cityscape has few hatch lines because there is not much shading. The lines in the drawing are contour lines that show the outline of the cityscape. Lake Michigan is at the bottom of the drawing because it offers a visual support. The buildings are simple because they are small.
