This cityscape rendering is of the near north side of Chicago. Streeterville is the name of the near north side of Chicago because it was named after Alderman Streeter. The pen & ink drawing shows the former John Hancock Center and Lake Shore Drive. The cityscape drawing is done with free-hand lines because it offers better forms. This cityscape drawing is not an architectural rendering because it does not have any straight lines. Architectural rendering are done for commercial presentations because they are about money. This cityscape drawing is about Fine Art because there is no commercial interest involved. The lines of the cityscape are close together to bring in the forms of the skyscrapers. There on no contour lines in this cityscape because that would flatten the image. The perspective of the drawing is based on an aerial view.

Lake Shore Drive is seen at the bottom of the drawing because it is curving into East Lake Shore Drive. East Lake Shore Drive is the richest street in Chicago. The former John Hancock Center is the tallest building in the drawing because it has 100 floors. Steeterville has the second largest cluster of skyscrapers in the city of Chicago because of the Magnificent Mile.
