Cityscape

This cityscape rendering is taken from the Adler Planetarium at the southern end of Burnham Harbor. The cityscape is done at sunset which is taking place on the left side of the drawing, because this is west. You can see that there are fewer lines in the sky on the left side but as you move to the right on the cityscape there are more.

Sunset

The rendering of this cityscape is at sunset, because the sun is going down. This cityscape shows the sun setting on the left, because the light is bright there. The very darkest part of the cityscape is on the right hand side at the horizon line. This is because the rays of light cannot penetrate the cityscape at this remote point. Also, you can see that the sky is darker on the right hand side because it is moving away from the sun. The more lines mean more darkness.
