Description
Chicago Millennium Park #1179A pen & ink landmark watercolor is popular because of views of the Loop & Crown Fountain, print matted 11″x14″.
Chicago Millennium Park #1179A is a pen & ink landmark drawing, by artist Stephen Condren, BFA, SAIC, of Condren Galleries. Because Millennium Park is great, it’s prints are great!
This view is taken from the northeast corner of the park near Adams Street. Behind the park are the skyscrapers of the Chicago Loop, which is located right downtown.
On the lower left side of the watercolor is the Crown Fountain which has illuminated faces over the water spouts. Children run through the waters as the illuminated faces look down upon them.
Key elements of this work of art are as follows:
Crown Fountain
One of the most popular features of Millennium Park is Crown Fountain. This is on open out-door water park for young and old alike. There are two large towers that dominate the cityscape and that shoot water out of the images that are projected on the street.
Millennium Park
Watercolor painting of Chicago skyline at Millennium Park by skyline artist Stephen F. Condren, BFA-SAIC. This view of Millennium Park is taken standing from the Lurie Garden looking west. What you see here is the Crown Fountain where the children from all over Chicago, Illinois, come to get wet and play as their parents stand by them in delight.
Michigan Avenue
The backdrop to this fabulous scene is nothing less than the front door of Chicago, Michigan Avenue at Adams. The famous lions rest on the footsteps of the Art Institute of Chicago. You can see in the skyline The University Club, Mid-Continental Plaza, and the People’s Gas Building all making for a wonderful scenic experience.
