City Scene Chicago Michigan Avenue #1083A
This is a lovely city scene is in the wintertime on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, Illinois. Because the boulevard is right in the heart of the city it attracts a lot of tourists. To the right you can just see the pediments to the world-famous Art Institute of Chicago. Most importantly, elms trees gracefully bow over the pedestrians as they walk by making a “cathedral walkway”. On the left side is the University Club of Chicago followed by the Chicago Athletic Association and then the Willoughby Tower, which are private.

The Art Institute of Chicago is in the center of the drawing because it is the focus of the drawing. In front can be seen the famous lions because they guard the entry. Most importantly the lions grace the main entrance on each side of the staircase at the entry of the Art Institute as guardians of Art. If you look carefully above and beyond the lion you can make out the Wrigley Building in this city scene.
