City Scene
This city scene rendering shows an “L” train approaching the passenger platform. The train has four passenger cars because they are attached. This city scape show the platform to Midway Airport because it is posted on the platform sign. The train is on the tracks up in the elevated rails because this is an elevated train system. Wooden rail ties can be seen between the iron beams that support the platforms because they hold the tracks to the network. The support beams are made of steel and iron because they are strong. Steel and iron are good to use for construction because they are economical. The new platforms are now modern looking because they do not have the old pot belly stoves to heat the waiting rooms.

No cross-hatched lines were used because they would make the drawing too dark. This city scene drawing is a free-hand drawing because no rulers or straight edges were used. Free-hand drawing have a more personable look because people like them. There are no people in this city scene drawing because they are behind the platform. Passengers are to keep far back from the tracks because they can be severely inured or even killed. The CTA give many warnings about passenger safety because signs are posted everywhere.
