City Scene
This city scene rendering shows “L” train on the track with the engineer in the window. The train is surrounded with skyscrapers because it is in the middle of the Loop. This city scene drawing show all of the detail on the sidewalks and streets. The lines in this city scene are either horizonal or vertical because the are best for delineating architectural structures. On the right side of the city scene is a pedestrian platform because it has an overhang.

The city scene drawing is done with pen & ink on Strathmore paper. Hatched lines were used extensively in the city scene drawing because there are many shadows. The numerous hatched lines make this city scape more interesting because it brings out details. The more ink on the paper the better the drawing looks, because people like lots of ink.
