Downtown
Charlotte has a lovely downtown which makes for a great cityscape. Because the skyline is not too big it renders nicely. The nice thing about the skyline is the even distribution of of skyscrapers, because they vary in height. Many cities have large centers that make the rendering more crowded. Manhattan, Los Angeles, and Chicago have large centers, because they are big.
What matches the skyline is lovely landscape. There is a gentle rolling nature to the topography which is good. Having just a flat horizon line can be a bit dull. San Francisco has a great skyline because of it’s wonderful landscape, and even distribution of skyscrapers. Bigger is not always better, and Charlotte is surely better.
