Unlike actors where they have time to prepare their scrips a model often has to work on the spot. This means that the model has to be in tip top shape at all times or else he will look off. No model can ever be off, because that could cost him a lot of money.

Men who work-out in the gym trying to build super-bodies are missing the point. It is not natural activity to lift weight and press exceedingly have presses. Nature likes you to do things in the manner that you were designed for. Just like the birds that like to swoop down on cars as they pass is a form of exercise. Running, swimming, and lifting things at work and around the house is natural exercise, not pressing weight.

This figure drawing is done first in pencil and then I follow through with black pen & ink. In this figure drawing I used a fine and a medium pen. When drawing a figure that includes the torso you have to adjust your pens to fit the need. In the case of torso drawings you are not close to the face like when you are drawing a portrait. Therefore, you have to use a fine tip pen to draw the details of the face. A blunt line would ruin the image of the face.

Once you put the pen down the ink is there and it will not go away, and you cannot erase it. Further, if you attempt to put paint or white paste on the error spot is will show. The long and short of it is that you cannot make any mistakes when you are working with pen & inks.

One of my greatest pleasure in life is drawing. I was born to draw and from my earliest youth I could always draw. For me the most beautiful creation in the world is the human male. The glory and majesty of the male body is unsurpassed in architectural design and beauty.

For countless centuries society has been wrongly brainwashed that women are the fair sex, with is of course not true at all. The male is the fair sex, and also it is the dominant sex of the species. Females are tawdry looking with plain features and ill proportioned bodies.

Since men or males like to have sex with females, for this is natural, males put images and paintings of females all over the places to serve as eye candy for them. So naturally women fall prey to the lie that they are the fair sex when, in truth, it is the trickery of males to use them for eye candy.

To behold a figure like that of Jason Douglas is an honor.

Pen & ink drawings are a great way to express the beauty of the human male body. What I like best about this rendering is the use of hatched lines to made the shade and shadows of the figure, and to enhance the contour lines of the drawing. It is very difficult to make good images with pen & ink because it is a high contract medium. Also, pen & inks are very unforgiving. When you spill a drop of ink on the paper it is there for good. Even if you were to use elements to remove the ink, a mark on the paper with show that you have tampered with it.

In the case of the human body, you have to be very careful because the lines follow the contour of the face and body. You cannot make mistakes or the drawing will be ruined. Now with the photo that I used to make this rendering I had to focus on two things. The first thing was the contour of Simon’s body. Follow this was the second item, which was to work the shade and shadows on both the bed and Simon’s body.

Where you are using pen & ink you cannot just slick over it. Rather you have to carefully delineate the image. So when I made the hatch lines for the shading I had to change the direction of the lines when I left the bed and went to his body. If I did not do this it would look flat and like all is of one piece. Delineation requires diligence.

Sexy Bare-Chested Herdsman Stylus Body Sketch

This debonair young cowboy has his eye on you, because he is looking at you from under his 10-gallon hat. He is tipping his hat, because he is acknowledging you. In these days of the rude, and crude his manners are a breath of fresh air, because we rarely see good manners these days.

Pencil Rendering

The purpose of this drawing was an exercise in contour lines for male figures, because I want to minimize hatched lines. In the preliminary drawing below you can see the outline of the cowboy’s physique, because his key body point elements are all in place. I use the sketch as a guide for my darker contour lines that follow afterwards in the pencil figure drawing, because they dominate the image.

This rugged cowboy is fitting to get underway with a lot of work to do, because he is hauling a long piece of cable on his left arm. This is clearly the drawing of a young gay man as he has his pants unzipped and open to you, because he is looking for some action. There is no doubt of what is on his mind, because his pants are wide open. His legs are spread open, because he wants to show you what is in his basket.

Below is the preliminary study that I had started with, because I use this for my guide. I think that I went too far with this sketch, because it comes through more strongly than I wished on the final rendering. Thus the preliminary sketch has now competed with the contour lines of the darker lead, because it is in the way as you look at the final drawing.
