Figure
This figure drawing is of a body builder’s torso while lifting weights on a bench is a contour drawing. The figure is seated on a bench that is placed directly under a set of weights. Usually there is an assistant or friend that stands behind the head of the weight lifter to make sure that the bar that holds the weight does not fall on him. In this photo that I used no person was there for assistance, thus you see only the figure of the weight lifter.

The rendering of the this weight lifter shows him moving his arms up as he lifts the weights. I have shown the details of the room so that the drawing makes sense because his body is cut off from the waist down.
