Description
Philadelphia Skyline #790A pen & ink cityscape drawing is popular, because of the gazebo in FDR Park, and the print comes matted or framed.
Philadelphia Skyline #790A is a cityscape drawing by artist Stephen Condren, BFA, SAIC, of Condren Galleries.
Cityscape
Looking for FDR Park you can see the central business district of downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The cityscape is done with brown ink to soften the delineation of the rendering. The center of the drawing has the largest cluster of skyscrapers, because of FDR Park. In the lower right corner of the rendering you can see the gazebo which is nicely detailed. The brown pen & ink give the cityscape a warm tone because there is red in the brown ink. Also, the tone of the ink is carried through to the landscaping of FDR Park, which adds richness to the cityscape. The towering skyscrapers of downtown give stature to the rendering.
Philadelphia Skyline #790A
The wonderful skyline can be view in many different angles and have as many different characteristics, almost like a new city skyline from every direction. I did this pen & ink drawing in red ink and made use of a bamboo stick when applying ink to the shadows for strong bold lines to bring out the strength of the drawing. This is a city of history and culture with famous museums and libraries.
