Mythology
This Mythology drawing of Cyclopes is an accumulation of many images. In looking at the images on-line for the Cyclopes you are offered a vast array of images. Being an artist I took it upon myself to integrate the many and wonderful images that have been offered to me. My first gut response was to keep the Cyclopes human and masculine. I did not want to draw a monster with one eye because it is too remove from reality. What makes Mythology so fascinating is how human it is. When you go too far with our characters you loos sight of literary, and artistic possibilies.
Cyclopes 370A
The celebrity drawing is done in fine pen nib on Strathmore paper. There is only one line weight in this rendering because when I am finished with this drawing I will go over it with color pen & ink. If I draw too much now in black then it will compromise the color inks that will follow.
Drawing Characteristics
Characteristics of this mythology drawing is the human form of the body of Cyclopes. His hands have claws and he only has one eye, but he has a man’s body.
