Description
Baltimore skyline drawing #37A, is a pen & ink cityscape rendering by artist and United States Navy Veteran, Stephen F. Condren, BFA, SAIC, of Condren Galleries. This charming view of a local vintage neighborhood set of row houses overlooks the Baltimore skyline. The city of Baltimore has an old historic charm that makes a joy to visit on my artistic travels. Few cities offer such a rich history and wonderful architecture. I am particularly pleased with the detailing between the top of the rooves and the skyline just behind. Because the perspective of the skyline gives depth to the rendering, making it look more dynamic.
The details of the bricks and door details bring out the “Old World” charm of the avenue. If you look carefully you can see the backs of building just over the roof-tops. The trees give a lush feeling to the rendering, setting the stage for a lovely work of art.
The pen & ink nicely complements the details of the houses, and the leaves on the trees. It is views of neighborhoods like this that make Baltimore a great place to live and work. Baltimore Skyline Drawing #37A is a well detailed drawing. Because pen & ink work well with architectural renderings, the renderings look more exact. Because line work with delineation.
