Daniel Radcliffe (689Z)
Daniel Radcliffe is by now a household word due to Harry Potter. However, we need to take another look at this handsome guy to see what else he has to offer beside good acting skills. In going over many photo of him I decided to do a drawing of him as shirtless. At first I just wanted to do a standard pen & ink portrait, because that seems like a good idea.
However, as I looked at the pics online for Radcliffe I came across these wonderful shirtless images of him. My real passion as an artist is to draw nude males, and good looking ones. When I saw these photos of Daniel I said to myself, this is it.
I proceeded to get my pencil and paper to prepare for the pen & ink drawing that I was going to do. I got the 6B pencil and started to do the preliminary sketch. As I drew I just kept going and filling in more detail. This is not the practice for drawing that I adhere to because if you draw too much with the pencil it then starts to compete with the ink that is to follow. I just kept drawing and completed the work of art that you see here.
The drawing just came to life for me as I moved the pencil across the paper because all I could see was Daniel. As I drew I kept telling my self to stop or it will be too much, but I did not listen and kept drawing.
