Cityscape
This view of the Philadelphia skyline is from the banks of the Schuylkill River. This is one of my favorite drawings of the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which shows the robust downtown district from the vantage point of the Schuylkill River. The delineation of the skyscrapers make this cityscape a delight to look at. The color of the ink is a mild brown with a bit of read. Color inks add interest to the rendering because it puts the perspective in a new dimension. The skyscraper dominate the center of the cityscape because of their height and stature.
Philadelphia Skyline #789A
The flowing water and shady trees make for a wonderful foreground to this grand image of downtown Philadelphia. Because the ink that I used was a off-colored red/brown that nicely brings out the contour lines of the cityscape. The landscape from FDR Park is an important element to have in any cityscape, because it adds grace, and beauty. Landscaping along with rivers and lake always enhance the composition.
